Most of you might now the gybe from your tack but if you don’t that doesn't mean you can't look the part. Tommy Hilfiger has been sponsoring various sailing competitions over the past years mainly starting in 2002 in the "Around Alone" competition with Brad Van Liew and his 50-foot yacht, named "Tommy Hilfiger Freedom America," sailing an eight-month, 28,000-mile race around the world. And recently the most notable recent sailing investments being the stunning Tommy Hilfiger extreme X40 multihull and Team Delta Lloyd for the 2009 Volvo Ocean Race. As official sponsor, for the Team Delta Lloyd the company provided the crew's on and off shore apparel, including footwear, watches, sunwear, tailored suits and inshore racing gear. The Spring/Summer 2010 sailing casual collection includes updated styles, colours and fits ranging from t-shirts, polos, shirts, swimwear and bermudas for men and polos, shorts, pants, dresses and tops for women. The red, white and blue colours are obviously evident and clearly aligned to Tommy Hilfiger yet the sailing collection also presents touches of yellow and particular sailing themes. On the local front, Tommy Hilfiger in Malta have also just recently confirmed a 3 year title sponsorship agreement with the RMYC and will endorse and support the ever popular Ramla Weekend Regatta to be held on 27-29 August. Whether you are a seasoned sailor or just want to look the part, the Sailing collection has something for everyone.
