The Royal Malta Yacht Club in conjunction with the J/70 Class Association Malta shall shortly be kicking off with its J/70 2016 sailing programme. 

Following a successful first year, consisting of both training days over the weekends and sponsored regattas with the constant participation of all five local J/70’s, we are now seeking to offer something fresh for 2016 which aims to bring more sailors on board. 

The owners of the local J/70 fleet have generously offered to make their boats available for the purposes of creating multiple team events – therefore, all sailors are now invited to form teams which may enrol in the Association’s training and racing circuit. Participation shall be against payment of a reasonable fee which shall be disclosed at a later stage and each team shall consist of four sailors. 

The dates for the 2016 racing programme have already been scheduled and can be seen on the RMYC Calendar of events.

This is a great opportunity for local keel boat teams to improve their crew work as well as experience fast and exciting one design fleet racing!
