2019 | Annual Summer Cruise

2019 | Annual Summer Cruise

The Royal Malta Yacht Club invites its members to join a summer cruise organised by the Malta Cruising Club and Lions Club Sliema. The annual charity cruise will be heading to the South coast of Sicily.  The aim is to raise funds towards sponsoring a guide dog which will provide specific mobility services for blind and visually impaired persons .

This is not a competitive race but a relaxed cruise with plenty of good fun ashore.

Our friends in Sicily, Lions Club Members themselves, are preparing a wonderful entertaining program to enjoy local food & wine, culture and shopping but you can find a draft of the program appended to this email which will be finalised as soon as we have an estimate of the number of participants.

We will not be cruising alone.  A week before the event, 15 sailing boats will arrive from Sicily to enjoy the Santa Maria week here in Malta, after which we will depart for Sicily at midnight on Friday 16th August.

Return to Malta is scheduled on the 25th. Nevertheless any boat is free to return at any time.

No participation fee is being levied although a donation of a minimum of  20 Euro is kindly requested.
