It is with heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of the long awaited Ramla Bay Resort Weekend Regatta.

This decision was not an easy one to take, particularly in view of the many requests the Club received to revive this popular event.  The Club had been mulling over this decision even before the recent Covid-19 measures were announced.

But what can we say other than that safety comes first.

The enthusiasm that our members and sailing clubs had shown towards this event meant that a large fleet of dinghies and keelboats would have been brought together.

We all realise that this is not the right time to encourage such a large gathering of people.

The odds were against us.  These are difficult times, but we need to take the necessary precautions to stay safe.

Hopefully by this time next year, we will be able to host this much loved and longed for event.
