The Royal Malta Yacht Club regrets to announce that the Yachting Malta – Syracuse Race, scheduled to take place this Saturday 17th July has been postponed to comply with the new travel restrictions.

This is being done in light of the recent increase in Covid-19 numbers which have seen newly introduced measures, including the classification of Italy as a Red Zone. This re-classification means that only persons in possession of a valid recognised vaccine certificate will be permitted to travel to Malta.

Therefore, the Club and the Lega Navale Italiana (Siracusa) have agreed to postpone this event to a later date. We appreciate that this is disappointing news for everyone, hopefully the delay will be a short one.
